Natural resources
What are natural resources
Natural resources are materials that naturally provides by The Earth, and human can benefit them in many ways.
There are two types of natural resources.
1. Non-renewable Resources
Non-renewable resources are limited type of use, there are five types of non-renewable resources, which are fossil fuels, crude oil(or petroleum), nuclear fuels, coal, and gas.
Fossil fuels
- The organic matter, typically plants that have decomposed and compressed over time, leaving fuel deposits.
- They are difficult to obtain as they are typically retrieved through drilling.
Crude oil or petroleum
- It is retrieved by drilling deep into the ground and pumping liquid out.
- Very versatile fuel and is used to product things like plastic, artificial food flavorings, heating oil, petrol, diesel, jet fuel, and propane.
Nuclear fuels
- The other type of non-renewable resource that use to product energy.
- Nuclear fuels primarily obtained through the mining and refining of uranium ore.
Coal
- Coal is the last major fossil fuels.
- Is created by compressed organic matter.
- Coal is a solid like rock and is via mining.
- China product coal the most if compare with other countries.
Gas
- The most common type of gasses are Methane and Ethane.
- Most commonly used in home heating as well as gas ovens and grills.
2. Renewable Resources
Renewable resources are know as an Earth-friendly choice, are natural resources that people can use to benefit, also, can be replace itself or by people. For example, sunlight, wind, water, plants, etc.
